Finance Operations Analyst

Rain is a venture-backed fintech with a mission to enable billions of people to reach financial freedom. Our first product gives employees instant access to their earned wages, enabling people to start their journey to financial success. Rain is the fastest-growing startup in the category and was incubated with QED Capital, a top fintech venture fund.

Rain partners with employers to provide their employees with access to their earned but unpaid wages via our app. Payments to employees are then reimbursed to Rain via a deduction from the employee’s paycheck and repaid to Rain by the employer. We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Finance Operations Analyst to help us manage this deduction and repayment process for the next 6+ months.

As a team member overseeing one of Rain’s most critical processes, this person will play a central role as we scale to 1M+ users. You will work with other members of our US-based Revenue team, as well as cross-functionally with our Customer Success, Product and Engineering teams. This position is remote and full-time (40 hours per week, OT eligible with management approval). The customary work schedule each week will be Sunday-Thursday.

Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile payments from employers with their corresponding invoices
  • Coordinate invoices with employers to ensure timely adjustments and payment
  • Investigate payment discrepancies and resolve the issue through communication with the employer, coordination with other internal teams, and/or financial adjustments
  • Evaluate current processes and help drive improvements with the Product and Engineering teams
  • Produce internal and external reporting related to repayments

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a collections or accounts receivable role
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, including strong Excel/Sheets skills and an ability to understand and manipulate large sets of data
  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills, with a high level of ownership and dedication to accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Compensation:  $30-$32/Hour
Note this is a range and we take in a variety of factors when determining total compensation for the position.

*This is a 6 month contract position.
