The Channel Sales team is being established to capitalize on a significant opportunity within Rain: leveraging our extensive partner network to drive high-quality lead generation and referrals to sales. This new lead will focus on building new key ecosystems of partners, collaborate with partners to strengthen and expand existing relationships, and create lead-generation opportunities with associations, industry partners, resellers, and more. The Channel Sales Lead will serve as a central point of contact for our counterparts and partner sales and account manager teams. This role involves coordinating co-selling initiatives with partner sales leads or referrals and acting as a liaison with our sales organization. Building strong relationships directly with partner sales teams, including providing updates, reporting, and attending on-site meetings/events, is crucial. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing strategic partnerships, driving efficiency, and fostering mutually beneficial relationships that lead to success. As needed, they will manage team members to help drive the relationships and leads from critical partners that are assigned. The Channel Sales Lead will report directly to the VP of Channel Sales.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive channel sales strategy to drive lead generation and revenue growth through partner relationships.
  • Identify new opportunities and ecosystems to build partner relationships.
  • Expand partnerships within integrated partners of Rain.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners' sales and account management contacts.
  • Collaborate with teams to define processes for co-selling and generating referral opportunities for our sales team.
  • Provide partners with visibility into the pipeline progression of joint prospect opportunities.
  • Lead the enablement and training of partners on the Rain platform.
  • Educate internal teams on the value proposition of our partners for bi-directional referrals.
  • Analyze and document key insights on leads and deal wins and losses to refine strategies.
 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of channel sales, enterprise sales, and/or solutions selling experience, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding KPIs and targets.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build and manage strategic relationships.
  • Extensive understanding of industry trends and the competitive landscape.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data analysis into strategic insights to drive partner strategy.
  • Highly motivated and proactive with the ability to work efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • A strategic thinker who is curious, resilient, and passionate about finding solutions to challenges.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
